The Inspiration for the Copley Heart Design
A Piece as Unique as the Ironwork Its Modeled After
When Hearts On Fire Designer Ilaria Lanzoni moved to the city of Boston in early 2012, she decided to spend time exploring before she even began work in her new studio. While some people did not understand this decision immediately, the results left little doubt to ever question her process again.
In the weeks Ilaria spent wandering the beautiful streets of Boston, she was overwhelmed by inspiration for what would become one of her first Hearts on Fire collections. The unique, historical architecture of the city was unlike anything she had ever seen and once she realized it, she began to see inspiration everywhere she turned.
One of her focal points was in the ironwork of scaffolding and balconies that graced the old brownstones found throughout the entire city. These intricate, distinctive designs would become the base for her entire Copley Collection (named after one of Boston’s most historic and popular neighborhoods), including the Copley Heart Design.
Shown on the right is the exact inspiration for the Copley Heart Design. This simple, romantic creation is available in white, yellow and rose gold and in both classic pendant and stud earrings designs…perfect for everyday wear for any woman.
