Making a Difference In the World
Hearts On Fire values making a positive difference in the world. It is our belief that the world can become a better place through focused philanthropic efforts, both locally and nationally. Our activities include various levels of financial support and personal hands-on involvement.
The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women
The American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement advocates for more research and quicker action for women’s heart health and was created to raise awareness for women’s heart health. Designer, Ilaria Lanzoni created one-of-a-kind The Hearts On Fire Go Red Diamond Necklace exclusively for the 2014 American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection Fashion Show. The retail price of the necklace is $99,000 and 10% of the retail price will be donated to the American Heart Association when sold. The fashion show was walked by more than 20 celebrities to bring attention to the problem of heart disease, which is the number one killer of women in America. Hearts On Fire was proud to be the premier jewelry sponsor. See pictures and details from the show here.

The Lenny Zakim Fund
Since 1995, Susan and Glenn Rothman have served as consecutive Chairpersons and founding members of The Lenny Zakim Fund (LZF). LZF provides assistance to 60 grassroots community based organizations that often fall beneath the radar screen of larger funders. Through the Fund’s annual fundraising campaign, combined with educational seminars and institutes, LZF grant recipients receive much needed financial support, management assistance, training, and networking opportunities that strengthen their organizations and community work.
Glenn and Susan have leveraged their entrepreneurial skills in this effective work that serves thousands of individuals and families. The HOF Team actively participates in this philanthropic endeavor as well, through their individual financial contributions and in-kind efforts. The HOF Team applies their professional skill sets and donates their time in areas of business management, finance, marketing, information technology, legal assistance, and event support.
Hearts On Fire supports many other organizations, including Jewelers For Children, the leading jewelry industry charity that champions children’s causes, such as St. Jude’s Research Hospital and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
HOF also supports industry education, both financially and through leadership involvement in the American Gem Society, Gemological Institute of America, and Women’s Jewelry Association.
Additionally, HOF hosts a Donations Program and Philanthropic Support for the HOF Retail family that includes more than 600 retail locations worldwide.
On the local level, the HOF Boston headquarters participates annually in a variety of philanthropic efforts, including support for the Boston Rescue Mission, a Holiday Toy Drive, and much more.
